| The Senior Grand Award winner was Megan Dowdell. Her project was titled "What’s
the Frequency, Kenneth?" She in now Megan Dowdell Nabb Where did she go to school? Graduated from Chopticon High School in 1996 as co-Valedictorian with Anu Jayaraman. Attended The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA graduating magna cum laude with a BS in Mathematics in 2000. Completed an MS in Applied Math from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY in 2002. What did she do for her career: Began taking actuarial exams and was hired by Milliman, an actuarial consulting firm in Chicago in 2004. Worked in the Financial Risk Management group of the Life department until 2008 when she moved to the Financial Technology Practice. Is currently working with the quality assurance team to automate in-house software testing using PERL. Where is she now? Lives outside Chicago with her husband and young
daughter.
