| The Senior Grand Award winner was Daniel Page in the category
of Computer Science. His project was titled "A
Picture is Worth 2 Thousand Numbers." Where did he go to school? Leonardtown High School Did he go to college? What are his career plans? Where is he now? {kr systems} Mr. Page’s project involving the encryption of
digital images was a continuation of his project last year with
significant advances. In last year’s Science Fair, Mr. Page explored
theoretical models of potential ways to encrypt a digital image by
scrambling the pixel matrices. Since then, he has taken a course in
Microsoft Visual Basic and wrote code to prove his theory. This year he
brought a laptop to the fair with a working example of how his code will
encrypt and decrypt a digital image with a unique randomly generated
encryption key. |

| The Team Grand Award winners were Kahn Kane and
Christianna Stavrondis in the category of Physics. Their project was titled "Relative
Speaking.. .Correlations in Relativity." Where did they go to school? Great Mills High School Did they go to college? What are their career plans? Where is they now? |

| The Junior Grand Award winner was Julie Walker in the category of
Botany. Her project was titled "Stumped" Julie went on to Prince George's Area Science fair and placed second in Botany. They didn't allow her tree rings in the fair as part of the project. (Bad Luck! Julie) She attended Father Andrew White School. Did she go to college? Not yet What did she do for her career? She doesn't know something in Science Where is she now? Leonardtown High School |
